The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced on March 1, the day the reduction in federal expenditures took effect, that it was scrapping three data collection and reporting programs surveys as a cost saving measure. One of the three is the program that tracks and reports U.S. “green jobs.” The BLS published its first green jobs report in 2012.
